Celebrity Conspiracy Theories

Not all conspiracy theories are universal. Not everyone will claim they saw a UFO or believe they are a part of a secret government project. One thing that everyone has experience with, in one form or another, is celebrities.

Plenty of conspiracies exist that are centered around celebrities. Some of the most notable ones focus on the idea that various celebrities are members of the Illuminati and that they are actually members of a high-ranking group of lizard people. While some footage or photos may make those theories seem legit, they are not plausible. My favorite conspiracies that relate to celebrities are the ones that make you stop and think, “Is this really possible?”

Like most kids, I almost exclusively listened to Avril Lavigne when I started going through my rebellious phase. Even though people today may consider her music one of the oldies, I still listen to her every now and then, and it is just as good as it was then.

The conspiracy surrounding Lavigne is one that is repeated with almost every celebrity. Rumor has it that Lavigne died in the early 2000s and was replaced with a body double named Melissa. This sounds like something straight out of a movie, right?

There are a few reasons why fans believe this theory to be true. First of all, there were some physical differences in the new Avril. Whether it be the shape of her eyes to beauty marks to her nose, fans made it known that these differences did not go unnoticed. In addition, they mentioned how Lavigne’s music style changed. Whether these differences are because of a body double or not, they are interesting to consider.

On a scale of one to ten, one being the least believable and a ten being very believable, I would say that the Avril Lavigne body double conspiracy is a two. It’s fun to think about how much a person can change seemingly overnight, but in reality, there are a lot of explanations for why a person can drastically change.

While so many other conspiracies deal with Hollywood, this stood out to me because it’s a common theme. If a person changes, even the slightest amount, people tend to immediately ignore the easy explanation and suggest that they were replaced with a body double. This idea has been repeated so many times, Beyoncé, Jay-Z and Justin Bieber are all victims to this conspiracy.

What are the odds this happened? Why do people like to ignore the obvious reasons for a change? Is it because they want to be a part of the media hype, or do they genuinely believe in body doubles?

Going through your rebellious years makes it sound like you are no longer a "rebel". I don't believe in that theory!!!

I agree, I loved listening to Avril Lavigne growing up like most people during that time frame. I have heard this theory several times and who knows it could be true. What goes on in this world, I wouldn't be surprised if it is true.

Another celebrity conspiracy theory I heard is that Dolly Parton has tattoos all over her body but you can't see it because she never comes out in public without wearing pants and long sleeves or even taking her make up off.

I've heard about the Dolly Parton theory, from you actually! I think it is super interesting. I would LOVE to see peoples' reactions if that theory came out to be true!
